Laying here watching Florida vs UConn semifinal game...trying not to think about half Ironman race in the morning.
Weather has been less than kind. Winds, steady above 20 mph. Rode 30 min this morning: avg 19+ going out, most time spent above 22mph without effort. Avg'd 13ish mph.
I'm here with Tommy Neal, fellow Jackass teammate.
Trainingwise, I should be ready. Have had React Performance coach, Ron Schmidt, get me ready.
I feel like I should have started a week or two earlier, but kept putting it off.
Had a good rest day, yesterday, driving down.
Good accomodations. Will have to get started early to get close parking.
Race plan is to be in T1 by 45 min. Swim start is 7:40.
Leave T1 in 5 min...start riding by 8:30.
Hope to be running by 11:30. Done by 1:30.
Mother Nature will dictate the majority of the race...the ride.
